Welcome To Our School

We hope that our school website will be a useful source of information for parents, relatives or friends who already have children at our school and for those who are thinking of joining us in the future.

We are a good school that is striving to be outstanding! We want to do our very best for the children in our care.

Happy children learn best and visitors always comment upon what a happy place our school is. We aim to provide children with the highest standard of education and equip them with the skills they will need for the future as well as helping them to identify their strengths and talents. We have a dedicated staff team who work hard to support and encourage all children to reach their potential and beyond.

As a church school, we have a strong relationship with St. James’ Church and our Christian values of love, courage, forgiveness, honesty and respect are at the heart of everything we do including our learning, our behaviour and our attitudes to others. Children are encouraged to ‘treat others as you would like to be treated’ and we expect the highest standards of behaviour at all times. We also aim to help children to understand their role as a member of society and to appreciate and celebrate diversity in this country and the world.

Aston and Cote CE Primary is a thriving village school with strong links to our local community. We are also a small school which enables us to maintain a family atmosphere where every child is important, understood and cared for. We find that children settle very quickly into our school, no matter which class they join, or whatever time of the year.

We welcome visits from prospective parents and children; please arrange a convenient time by contacting the school office on 01993 850435.

Mrs Fiona Taylor, Headteacher

London’s burning

February 25th, 2019|Kingsway, Oatlands|

The children in Kingsway and Oatlands classes thoroughly enjoyed their re-enactment of the Great Fire of London. After forming a human chain to transport water from the River Thames to Pudding Lane, our model bakery was set alight. It was absolutely fascinating to see how the fire spread from one building to another and gave us a great insight into what happened in 1666.
