Windmill Class is home to our Foundation Stage children aged 4-5 years. Our class teacher is Mrs Weston and our teaching assistants are Mrs Long and Mrs Moss. Windmill is a very welcoming and busy class and the children learn lots during their first year of school. Windmill pupils love learning and this learning takes place through small groups, whole class sessions and purposeful quality play.
All children in the Foundation Stage are taught in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. Follow the link below to see a good guide for parents.
Our focus is on providing a challenging and creative curriculum for each individual child, so that they may build on positive experiences and be proud of their achievements, within a culture of high expectations.
We were delighted to have been awarded a £10,000 grant by the National Lottery which we used to begin the redevelopment of our outdoor learning space. Our amazing new canopy and all-weather surface mean that we can use this space all year round, whatever the weather. We have exciting plans for the rest of our impressive outdoor area and are busy fundraising so that we can make them a reality.
